Ted Cruz Demands “Consequences” For China’s Virus COVER-UP

(FamilyRetirementClub.Com)- Republican Senator for Texas, Ted Cruz, didn’t pull any punches on Wednesday when he told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum that there must be “consequences” for China’s cover-up of the coronavirus outbreak. Cruz made the comments on the same day that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced there will be an investigation into the origins of the virus.

“There needs to be accountability,” Cruz told MacCallum. “Look, first we have defeat this crisis. But afterwards, there needs to be a careful accountability as to the communist government’s in China’s responsibility, both for covering it up and suppressing it, that we know, and also whether the communist government played an inadvertent part in the outbreak itself.”

How things have changed since the 2016 primary elections. Ted Cruz is a Republican hero!

Cruz and President Trump are even getting on and working well together these days.

On April 16, Cruz said he had spoken to the president and his Coronavirus Task Force, telling his Twitter followers that he is confident in the president’s leadership.

Cruz also discussed the origins of the virus, and how it is increasingly being accepted by government officials all over the world that the virus may have been developed, or could have originated, in a virology institute in Wuhan city.

“There were two State Department cables that you referenced that occurred early on that described two different labs in Wuhan, within miles where the outbreak occurred that were studying bat coronaviruses, and the Chinese government does not want to answer questions about whether they were studying the novel coronavirus and whether it was an accidental escape for their own labs,” Cruz added.

The Republican senator said there must be “real accountability” and that the State Department knew China was already studying these viruses and was concerned about them being released from laboratories.

“That may be part of the cover-up, they don’t want to answer basic questions,” he said.

China has a lot to answer for. According to the latest data from the U.S. Labor Department, some 22 million American jobs have been lost over the last four weeks. Combined with experts suggesting that China taking action earlier in the coronavirus could have reduced the spread of the disease by 95%, and it’s clear that the country is responsible for grinding the world’s economies to halt.
