(FamilyRetirementClub.com)- Now that Joe Biden has been forced to acknowledge the accusations made against him by former Senate staffer Tara Reade, high-profile Democrats have been coming to his defense to defend his honor and reassure the voting public that Joe Biden is not a sexual predator.
However, the attorney who represents Tara Reade, told Breitbart on Tuesday that the defense of Joe Biden from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is “nonsensical.”
Schumer recently claimed that he’s heard what Biden has to say about the matter and that he…well, he doesn’t seem to think it’s a big deal.
“Now I’ve heard Joe Biden’s explanation. I think it’s sufficient,” he said, before telling the media how great he thinks Biden is. “I think he will be a great candidate. I think he will be a great president. And I think he will help us take back the Senate,” he said.
First of all, the idea that the Democrats will take back the Senate in November is pretty wild. Many would argue the most likely outcome of this coming election is the Republicans maintaining the Senate and keeping the House. Not only will people be thinking about security and stability in the time of the coronavirus outbreak, but they’ll have seen the schemes the Democrats have played throughout this pandemic to try and get their own way…instead of helping working Americans.
Back on topic, though, Tara Reade’s lawyer Douglas Wigdor said that she thinks Schumer’s defense makes no sense because…well, what does he think is sufficient?
“Schumer’s comment is absolutely nonsensical as Biden hasn’t provided any explanation,” Wigdor said. “Is Schumer simply accepting Biden’s blanket denial? Seems like a complete double standard.”
And it is. The Democrats have argued for some time now, specifically since allegations were made about President Trump being sexually aggressive with women, that everybody should “believe all women.” After years of campaigning, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with #MeToo campaigners, the Democrats are now siding with Joe Biden and accepting his denial while ignoring Tara Reade and her story.
If you don’t know the story, Reade alleges that Biden grabbed her in a corridor in the Senate in 1993, kissed and touched her, and then penetrated her with his fingers without her consent.
