Crazed Anti-Trump Activist Plows CarInto Republican Registration Tent

(FamilyRetirementClub.com) – A Florida Republican voter registration tent was destroyed when a crazed driver plowed straight into it on Saturday, according to the office of the local sheriff.

The incident happened at approximately 3:50p.m when a brown and gold van, driven by a young white male, was driven through a crowd of Republican volunteers and into the tent. It occurred outside of the Kernan Village shopping center, in the parking lot.

Senators for Florida Rick Scott and Marco Rubio both indicated that the attack was political, and who would disbelieve it? Within the last week, a student from Arizona State University was caught on camera shouting about slashing Republican throats.

Thankfully there were no injuries, however a volunteer for the group responsible for the stand told local Jacksonville media that she was nearly hit by the moving car.

Speaking to Channel 4 News, Nina Williams said, “It happened so quickly, I just barely got out of the way.”

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on two counts of aggravated assault against a person over the age of 65. He was also arrested for driving without a license, and for criminal mischief.

It certainly does sound like this was a politically motivated attack.

Lt. Larry Gayle, who attended the scene, said that the driver, Gregory William Loel Timm, recorded a video and even flipped off the people who were inside of the tent before getting leaving the scene of the incident.

The story quickly became national news, and President Donald Trump offered commentary.

Responding to a tweet by Ronna McDaniel, the president said, “Law Enforcement has been notified. Be careful tough guys who you play with!”

The mayor of Jacksonville, Lenny Cury, also tweeted to confirm that the attack happened. He reiterated that nobody had been hurt, but lamented the hate felt towards Republicans. “Sadly, this happened. I spoke to the GOP chair. This is outrageous. The hate is toxic and dangerous. Thankfully no one was injured but certainly they are shaken after being targeted because they were registering voters,” he said.
