(FamilyRetirementClub.Com)- Communist China released a bizarre LEGO-inspired propaganda video on YouTube that mocks the American response to the Wuhan virus. The Chinese Communist Party has repeatedly denied that the virus came from a lab in Wuhan, but the United States government is increasingly convinced that it did.
Just last week, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said there was “enormous evidence” that the virus was man-made and came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The claims must have angered communist China, prompting a response in the form of a video entitled “Once Upon a Virus.”
It was produced by Xinhua News, a state-controlled news agency in China. It features animations of LEGO minifigs and paints the World Health Organization and China in a positive light while slamming the United States as irresponsible.
It might work on viewers in China, but nobody in America will be convinced!
The video uses text-to-speech software to replicate American and English voices and follows the narrative of China warning the world about a new virus, and America dismissing it. But that isn’t what happened.
Global governments have criticized China for attempting to cover up the outbreak of the virus from the very beginning. The United States was so angry that the World Health Organization and China didn’t reveal enough information about the virus sooner that President Donald Trump withdrew all funding for the organization while an investigation takes place.
The video goes on to imply that the United States was foolish to not believe China’s claims that the number of infections is dropping. Again, this isn’t based in fact, and China was found on multiple occasions to have lied about its infection rates nationally, and within Wuhan city.
Beijing has been pushing a large disinformation campaign throughout the world using its state-owned media outlets, and through social media. An investigative report from ProPublica recently discovered Twitter accounts that have been hijacked to promote Chinese propaganda and armies of social media users pushing disinformation.
Even the Wall Street Journal published a report showing how social media giants Facebook and Twitter allowed China to flood the networks with posts that attacked America’s efforts to stop the outbreak of the Chinese virus.
Who do they think they’re fooling?
